Portsmouth Community Tourism Association

Portsmouth is Dominica’s Second Town. In this vibrant and active community, you can learn about Dominica’s history at Fort Shirley in the Cabrits, set amidst breath-taking views of Prince Rupert Bay. Or opt to spend some time in nature with a tour up the Indian River, or a walk along Syndicate Trail where you may glimpse our national parrot, the Sisserou.


Bellevue Chopin Organic Farmers Group

Bellevue Chopin is perched atop a ridge that offers sweeping views of both Dominica’s coasts, down to Roseau in the West or Grandbay in the East. This farming village has been at the forefront of the Organic Movement in Dominica.  Visit their farms, taste the local produce, learn about local herbs and vegetables…see how life could be, naturally.


Mero Enhancement Committee

This community is home to Mero Beach, one of Dominica’s most popular beaches. It’s gently sloping, long sand beach is perfect for a relaxing day of fun in the sun.  With the Macoucherire Rum Factory nearby and a trek to a waterfall, you get a little bit of everything in this community.

Layou Improvement Committee

Layou is Dominica’s longest river and you will certainly feel refreshed after a tubing excursion along it! With the Wacky Rollers Adventure Park perched on its shores and the Miracle Lake just a short drive into the hills, this is the community for non-stop fun. not to mention the Titiwi Festival!

Eggleston-Giraudel Flower Growers Group, Inc.

The twin communities of Eggleston and Giraudel share a glorious mountainside setting high above the west coast, providing a breezy atmosphere and scenic views to all who visit. Their community group is focused on Flowers, this is where many of Dominica’s most gorgeous blooms are grown. Here they are expert flower growers and arrangers, which will become obvious as soon as you begin to wander through their colourful gardens. A Creole Cooking Tour and the popular Jing Ping Band add even more local spice to this community.


Wotten Waven Development Committee, Inc

When you think of Wotten Waven, think of relaxing in nature’s hot pools.  Spas of all shapes and sizes are found in this community. Spend an afternoon soaking your cares away, then try a hike to a waterfall before coming back for another soak!  Spend the night in one of the small guest houses… and do it all gain the next day.

Freshwater Adventure Group

Lakes and rivers abound near the village of Laudat, high in the mountains of Dominica’s rainforest. Enjoy Dominica’s tranquil beauty while kayaking across the lake, bird-watching, or trekking through the rainforest. At Titou Gorge, swim in a natural gorge with warm-waterfalls at its entrance. You may recognize this spot from the film “Pirates of the Caribbean 2”!

Itassi Tourism Environmental and Development Committee

Named Itassi by the island’s first people, the Kalinago, Vieille Case is an area rich in tradition.  Set along the rugged northeast coast of Dominica with stunning views of the island’s coastline it is easy to imagine Dominica’s first settlers living here. Learn about local traditions, swim in the sea, relax and enjoy yourself.

Mahaut Marine & Recreation Group

Discover the wealth of Dominica’s underwater life on this snorkeling tour at Rodney’s Rock. Go fishing or take a ride in a traditional fishing boat, hand-made from the local gommier tree. After enjoying your watersports, have lunch to the sounds of a traditional music group.

Sineku Improvement Committee

Sineku, home to the Kalinago people, is at the southern end of the Carib Territory. Legend has it that a powerful snake came ashore here, creating L’Escalier Tete Chien (Staircase of the Snake) as he brought his people to Dominica. To this day, the Kalinago continue traditions such as basket weaving, thatched roofing and traditional cooking.

Southeast Environment & Tourism Development Corporation

The Southeast is home to many wonderful natural attractions. Hike to magnificent waterfalls such as Victoria and Sari Sari Falls. Relax on a black sand beach while you watch for nesting turtles. Adventure to Glassy Pool or Ravine Cyrique  to experience  Dominica’s rugged natural beauty.
