| COMMUNITY TOURISM MINI TRADE SHOW Saturday 26, May 2012, MERO The month of May is Dominica’s Official Tourism Awareness Month. This year
May 26th has been set aside for a historic Mini Trade Show in the community of
Mero which will showcase the heritage, products, and services of the members of
the Dominica Community Tourism Associations around the island.
This event is being organized by the Dominica Community Tourism Association
Inc. (DCTAI), which is an umbrella organization of all community tourism
organizations on the island.
 This Community Tourism mini trade show is the perfect setting in which the
DCTAI can be recognized by stakeholders/partners within the Tourism Industry
and the general public. It will also be an opportunity to get to know more about
the concept of Community Tourism in Dominica and to identify opportunities and
ways for networking, partnership and even selling our products and services.
This is the first of what we hope to be an annual event and this will be the best
opportunity of the year for Community Tourism Service and Product Suppliers to
meet and possibly form lasting partnerships.
The event will be promoted throughout the month of May via the media and at
other special activities during Tourism Awareness Month and the mini trade show
itself. Each sponsor of the trade show will receive maximum publicity through-out
the event. Prizes will be awarded to deserving members. Approximately sixteen
(16) community tourism organizations will be involved in the trade show.
